研究所长期从事新能源电力建设管理、国际工程建设管理和工程项目管理方法与实践等相关研究。
研究所所长赵振宇，www.365365.com教授，博士生导师（管理科学与工程）。
毕业于湖南大学电力系统及其自动化专业（工学学士）、北京交通大学工商管理专业（硕士）、北京交通大学工程管理专业（管理学博士），1992至2000年在中国电工设备总公司（后更名为中国电力工程有限公司）水电工程部担任工程师、项目经理，从事国际水电工程承包。2000年至今在www.365365.com任教，阿德莱德大学兼职教授、博导。2004年香港理工大学建筑与房地产学系访问学者，2017年多伦多大学经济系访问教授。
出版学术专著5部、教材4部，在国内外学术期刊和国际会议发表论文180篇，重要成果发表在国内外顶级工程管理及能源工程类学报上，被SCI和SSCI收录45篇，多篇入选ESI高被引论文，入选中国人文社会科学评价研究中心经济学最有影响力学者排行榜。完成国家、省部级及企业委托科研课题三十多项，以第一完成人获全国一级学会、协会科技进步奖3项。
兼任中国建筑学会建筑经济分会常务理事、建设工程招投标专业委员会副主任委员，中国建设监理协会专家委员会委员，中华建设管理研究会常务理事、副秘书长，中国“管理科学与工程学会”理事。美国土木工程学会(ASCE)Journal of Management in Engineering(SCI收录) 专刊主编；全国百强期刊《建筑经济》、《施工企业管理》、Journal of Technology Innovations in Renewable Energy、《建设管理国际学报》、《土木工程》等期刊编委，《低碳经济》主编；北京大学图书馆《中文核心期刊要目》学科评审专家。教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心第四轮学科评估专家，教育部高等学校科学技术奖励评审专家，北京电力行业协会专家；全国造价工程师执业资格考试教材编写委员会委员。中国国家标准《建设工程项目管理规范》（GB/T50326-2017）主要审查人。担任二十五家SCI、SSCI收录国际学术期刊和十余家EI收录及中文学术期刊审稿人。
一、研究所主要研究方向和领域
1、新能源电力项目建设管理：该方向主要研究新能源和可再生能源发电项目开发、建设及其管理的理论、方法、模型和应用，为我国新能源和可再生能源电力建设提供先进、系统的管理科学理论与方法支持。研究领域涉及我国新能源和可再生能源发电项目开发策略、风险管理、资源配置、相关产业链协同优化等方面。
2、国际工程建设管理：该方向主要研究中国国际工程承包企业进入国际市场的进入模式、市场布局和发展战略选择模型及应用，旨在提升中国国际工程承包企业在国际高端市场的竞争力，并实现其在国际复杂环境下的可持续成长。研究领域涉及国际工程承包市场研究、国际工程承包企业协同进化机制、动态能力及可持续成长等方面。
3、电力工程项目管理方法与实践：该方向主要研究电力工程项目建设、安装的工程承包模式创新与实践，以提升和构建适应我国电力建设市场环境和建安工程实际需要的管理体系和方法。
二、研究所取得的主要成果
研究团队先后完成国家自然科学基金、南水北调工程建设重大关键技术研究及应用、教育部人文社科基金、北京市哲学社科基金、河北省自然科学基金、建设部科技项目等研究课题三十余项，获全国一级学会、协会科技进步奖3项。在国际顶级能源期刊Energy、Renewable Energy、Energy Policy、Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews、Journal of Cleaner Production，以及国际顶级工程管理期刊Journal of Construction Engineering and Management、Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management、Journal of Management in Engineering发表SCI和SSCI收录论文七十余篇。

三、学术交流与国际合作
研究所长期与澳大利亚阿德莱德大学、南澳大利亚大学、加拿大多伦多大学、美国普渡大学、麻省理工学院、德国波恩大学、香港理工大学、香港城市大学等海外高校保持紧密合作，定期邀请相关专家开展学术交流活动。
四、研究所研究生活动
研究所目前有在读博士研究生和硕士研究生20人，其中国际留学生4人。研究所每两周进行一次汇报，每位成员展示自己两周内的研究成果、学习心得和存在的疑惑，老师逐一点评和指导，以此营造良好的学术研究氛围，并督促大家不断吸收和共享新知识。
此外，研究所还设计了“学术成果展览板”，用于展示研究所成员发表的高水平论文，以激励大家相互学习。
研究所定期组织的羽毛球比赛和秋游等活动，让大家在紧张的学术研究之余能够劳逸结合，以轻松的心情、饱满的精神高质量地完成科研任务。
